Thomas Kinkade inspired cottage

  It's been a looooong time since I last posted, but I finally started thatching my little cottage, inspired by the wonderful art of Thomas Kinkade!  It's still a work in progress though. I need to tone down the foliage colour a bit, and add some trailing up the walls. I still haven't glued the chimney and thatch to the roof yet either! It will be great to finally finish it!  I'll have to post a video of the interior. That was finished ages ago. I'm also posting a pic of the kit itself, though I made the porches, trellis, and outside loo myself. Interior -

Matt Murdock Trunk

  1/6 Daredevil/Matt Murdock apartment diorama. Work in progress. I've been working on the trunk where he keeps his vigilante suit(s). I still need to work on all the rusted clasps/locks but the basic design is finished. My version is a tad wider and flatter but close enough. Very difficult to take photos and not get my ugly mug reflected in the windows! 😂

  I've been adding a few more accessories to my Matt Murdock/Daredevil 1/6 apartment diorama. Still haven't got the window lighting sorted out yet though. I thought I'd take a few pics of Matt post meditation - hee hee - any excuse to see him in his boxers!😂 😂 🤗

Daredevil apartment work in progress video...

  WORK IN PROGRESS. Matt Murdock/Daredevil's apartment (living room/kitchen) from the Netflix series. 1/6 scale. The windows are a tad smaller scale than the real thing though, and the whole apartment is a bit squished because I don't have quite the length to work with. My plan was to leave a small gap behind the windows so I could create the glow of the street lights below, and the changing colours of the giant advertising screen that is outside his apartment, but it's proving a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Sigh.

Daredevil Windows

 Work in Progress.  Windows of Matt Murdock/Daredevil's apartment. 1/6 scale. My window spacing is a tad smaller than the real thing but I don't have quite the length to work with. I've already made all the furniture. The windows are the last step. My plan is to leave a small gap behind the windows so I can create the glow of the street lights below, and the changing colours of the giant advertising screen that is outside his apartment.

Daredevil Apartment Chairs

  I've been working on the two Matt Murdock/ Daredevil apartment chairs for my 1/6 diorama. They're almost finished. I just need to tone down the edging because I made it too dark, and just tidy the details. They're not perfect but I'm lazy.😂 I've already made the sofa and table.

Daredevil Sofa

  Work in progress 1/6 Daredevil/Matt Murdock's apartment sofa. My first attempt at a sofa so it's a bit naff. I'm also very lazy so it's sloppily made. Still need to paint the feet. Will probably make the cushions a bit plumper. I might paint it a bit darker as well. Think I should have made it a tad wider. Oh well. 🙄
